LUMEOLOOP™ conductive

LumeoLoopTM Conductive is a specially made attachment interface connecting  battery and hardware with smart fabric by adding conductive modules to LumeoLoopsTM attachment technology.

LumeoLoopTM Conductive bridges the gap to easily use smart fabric by uncomplicated attaching and removal from the fabric making it easy to wash, fold and store when not used.

how it works

LumeoLoopTM Conductive consists of a modular interface for 1 to 8+ electrical signals. The assembled system are mechanically controlled by a lever to easily attach or detach the device on the fabric.

Each module has a plastic cover that surrounds a metal thread. The metal thread goes in between the conductive fibers of the fabric and then back into itself as a temporary seam. Each module gives one individual electrical signal.

The technology works on conductive embroidery, woven circuits, knitted electrodes, printed circuits, and more. For advanced application, it’s possible to control the penetration depth of the metal thread to reach the desired layer.

EXISTING SOLUTIONS

The attachment market hasn't changed since the early 1940s when hook-and-loops were invented. With attachments such as the molle system and the hook-and-loops being reliable, none of the solutions catered for flexibility in wearing gears and belongings. With the up rise of wearable technology and smart textiles, the need for increased space to attach the products became a mounting problem. Having straps as the first choice of attachment limits the user in what wearable to choose with the limited space on the wrists.

LumeoLoopTM bridges the gap between users' need for flexibility, enabling the freedom to freely express themselves through hidden wearables or as accessories wherever they choose to wear them, and businesses' diverse devices to track different data.

FAQ

DOES IT DAMAGE THE FABRIC?

Generally no, but it depends on the sensitivity of the fabric and what you are attaching to the fabric. If you attach something very heavy to a sensitive fabric the risk is bigger.

HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN IT HOLD?

Each module can hold upto 1.4 kg. In a system you can have multiple modules which increases the strength and divides the weight.

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?

Plastic and stainless steel.

how long does it take to complete a project?

It depends on your product and its functionality but our estimate is between one to six months.

DOES IT WITHSTAND HEAT AND COLD?

Yes

HOW HARD IS IT TO OPERATE?

Very easy to operate, push it to the fabric and twist the leaver all the way and it’s attached! Tadaa!

does it work with any kind of e-textile solution?

It works with embroidery, woven, printed and heat transfer.

do you need to prepare the surface in manufactoring?

No, you don't. That's the beauty in it.

do users need to prepare the surface at any time?

No, it's all cared for. Just attach it and go.

how long does Lumeolooptm conductive last?

First of all, it depends on the fabric and though we have yet to do laboratory tests, our own tests of attaching and detaching the device 10.000 times have left no indications of giving up the slightest which translates into 13 years of attaching and removing LumeoLoopTM Conductive twice per day.

is it possible to scale for mass production?

Yes, the technology is already in mass production and ready for anyone using our technology to scale and commercialize.
